Eliud Ngugi Ngige was the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Muguga Ward in Kiambu County, succumbed to COVID-19 on Monday .The MCA, who was popularly referred to as ‘Thitia’, passed on a day after he was admitted to the ICU at the Kenyatta University hospital.According to Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Stephen Ndichu, the MCA returned from an official trip to Mombasa on Sunday where he and his colleagues of the County Assembly Budget Committee had retreated.He was taken ill on Monday and admitted to the Kenyatta University hospital after testing positive to COVID-19.
