President Uhuru launched Nairobi commuter rail service (NCRS)a network of diesel trains serving Nairobi and its suburbs.The new DMUs plys five routes from Nairobi Central Station to Embakasi Village, Syokimau,, Kikuyu and Thika and Kitengela.
H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta accompanied by Mr. Raila Odinga officially opened a 4.2km access road linking the Nairobi Inland Depot & Southern Bypass near Wilson Airport. This super road has eased the evacuation of cargo from ICD thus decongesting Mombasa Road.
