Ms. Alice Wairimu Nderitu is the Founder, Community Voices for Peace and Pluralism.She holds a Master of Armed Conflict and Peace Studies (2013) and a Bachelor of Arts, Literature, and Philosophy (1990) from the University of Nairobi. She is a Transitional Justice Fellow, Institute for Justice and Reconciliation in South Africa. In addition to that she is an author, columnist, armed conflict mediator, and ethnic and racial relations educator.

Being one of the only women, in a process resulting in a peace agreement signed by 10 ethnic communities in Nakuru. She was the lead mediator in two peace processes the first involving 29 ethnic communities in Kaduna State, Nigeria, and the second involving 56 ethnic communities in Southern Plateau, Nigeria. Nderitu is a recipient of the Diversity and Inclusion Peace and Cohesion Award, 2019, the 2018 Jack P. Blaney Award for Dialogue for using dialogue to support conflict resolution including but not limited to roles in Kenya and Nigeria, 2017, Global Pluralism Award for commitment to conflict prevention throughout Africa and an innovative approach to mediation.

She is a Transitional Justice Fellow, Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, South Africa and served as a Commissioner of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and was the first Co-Chair of the Uwiano Platform for Peace, the first conflict prevention agency linking early warning to early response in Kenya.This is so great of her and we hope more women will get into leadership.
